Started off yesterday in the ocean, it was slow by ocean standards but we did get three keeper coho and three wild coho as well as about a dozen little chinook (less than 15 inches) then we ran back into the river. I couldn't beleive it either, the ocean was as nice as I've seen it so far this season.
Back in the river we got into them better, I had one client with the worst luck, he lost seven fish in a row but then it turned around and he landed the next three. Just as the tide turned we picked up a few more and ended the day with eight nice fish, seven coho and one 20# chinook.
Today was even better, or maybe we landed more of our hookups.
I had a couple of great kids with their dad and grandpa along and finished one short of their limit. A total of eight silvers and three chinook. All these fish were real nice size, we didn't get a silver under about eight pounds with some up around twelve and the chinook were 10, 18, and 19. They went home with 90# of fillets.
