I fished Rainier today with 11 clients (five in one boat and six in another) and we never had a bite. I saw eight to ten fish hooked by the 50 to 60 boats and heard of a few before we got there.
Not much for chinook here yet either. I saw one jack and heard of an 18 pounder caught.
We gave them Flatfish, prawns, spinners and wabblers and we fished several spots, just not much happining. Maybe it's time to try another spot for Columbia steelhead. But then again, I'll be fishng full time in Astoria starting next week.
