It was a pretty productive month.
For sturgeon I fished the Astoria area for 8 trips. We caught 25 keepers,limits almost every time. It started to slow down this past week.
I fished the Columbia for steelhead once down at Raineir and we caught one wild steelehad.
And then there was the ocean. What a hoot! Up until yesterday I ran three trips with a total of 36 salmon landed, 22 kept. Then there was yesterday, we caught 30+ fish, keeping our limit of five chinook and five silvers.
Wow, four trips and over 60 fish landed, almost like Alaska!
This August is going to be awesome!
