Default First three trips of the season for Astoria-Good....slow and Not too bad......

I started off my sturgeon season pretty good this week. We went down on the forth and started fishing the 5th....Six fat keepers in the box.

Friday was quite slow for all. We only caught one keeper and some shakers. Most boats only got one or none it seamed like.

Today was real slow starting out too. We never had a bite until around 1 or 1:30 then we got into some fish and ended up with five shakers and four keepers. Not bad, another limit, it just took a long time.

I was fishing out of Hammond and caught my fish on shrimp in six to ten feet of water. We really had to move around to find the fish, up to six times a day or more. Also, we were hooking all our fish on the last half of incoming tide, that's why we didn't get into them today until late.

There was a good bite up near Tongue Point this morning, I heard of a good number of early limits there today.
