I think this board is well kept as far as language goes. I periodicly put in a four letter work which appears as ** or **** or how ever many letters it has.

I can speak for myself and say I have a pretty bad mouth on the water, but that is just me. I try :grin: . After all I am fishing and enjoying good company.

I understand that some people do not like four letter words because of religious beliefs or other reasons. "I", speaking for myself, will accept and respect your request, but please accept and respect me for who I am or at least try. I will not speak for other poeple on this matter.

From a mod's standpoint, you guys (both genders) do really well most of the time. Sometimes someone gets excited or angry and posts a word that, to them, is the only one that expresses how they feel. Usually we tidy it up when that happens, simply because we like having an atmosphere where anyone, women, kids, your pastor, whoever, can read our posts without cringing.

Yeah, we may talk differently on the river or in hunting camp, but overall we do pretty good in Jennie's house.

hey guys i appreciate and accept you for who you are. we are all human i understand that . I just have a hard time trying to explain to my 7 yr old what a word means when it is typed up next to a fish pic she looks at. im not saying all do it that's why the post is titled if the shoe fits hankstr

The word filter takes care of any bad words and the mods get the others that are implied as fast as they can. I don't recall seeing to many on here.

For the most part, the board is clean, but there are exceptions.

The place that really needs cleaned up is when we are out fishing, and young kids or women are present. Without exception the Neadrathals out there pipe it up when females are present. Are the Neandrathals crudely trying to get noticed or get attention? How gross.

I've got my wife and four daughters, and every last time I take them with me fishing (with the exception of church family camp) idiots say the crudest things, and it seems almost purposeful. This is one big reason why I have chosen to refrain from taking my own kids salmon fishing. In the fall, it gets crowded out there, so you are never alone fishing.

But usually, when just the guys are at a fishing hole, most times, it's real clean.

I just ask for fishermen to not have sailor mouths around kids and women. Have some decency and respect, please.
