Default Productive oversize fishing

I had a productive trip for oversize today up in the Gorge.

What the shad fishing lacked the sturgeon made up for. It took us over two hours to to get ten shad for bait. They just weren't doing much. The best depth we found was around thirteen feet.

Then it was off to the sturgeon hole. Within five minutes we had our first fish on, a 8 1/2 footer.

The day continued. It was a bit hard to get all four rods in the water at once, and the few times we did it only took about half an hour before there was another fish on.

Our total for the day was three lost on the hook set and four more to the boat and released. It seamed like we spent more time fighting fish than we did waiting for a bite.

Fishing presure was light and I saw around 15 fish caught, most of them were just from a handfull of boats.
