Clackamas Snow Salmon
This is a seldom seen fish in our waters, much more common in Alaska and Canada.
My wife caught this one but I think it looks more like a baluga whale.....

Re: Clackamas Snow Salmon
Hooked into one of those beauties a few years back before the snow plows took our allocation.
Real tasty with a little cherry syrup drizzled over it. Hard as heck to fillet though!

Re: Clackamas Snow Salmon
Very close resemblance to the Clackamas Snow salmon however the tail fin is actually verticle. Did you know this fish is a direct decendant of the Willamette Brown trout?

Re: Clackamas Snow Salmon
By the look of the flukes, I bet it makes long runs.
Did Tesha out fish you today? :depressed:
You sure can tell when the guides are off the rivers.

David, David, David!
One day off and your ready for the Mental Ward. As a matter of fact, didn't McMurtry take his group of "psychos" fishing at Depot Bay in "One Flew Over the Coocoo's Nest?"

Re: Clackamas Snow Salmon
Awesome Dave! Although with a tail like that,
I think that fish resides in the waters around the Trojan plant.

The thickness of the caudal peduncle says power, not speed, Oncorhynchus snoball. They bite soft, but never freezer burn!
