Default ROAD CONDITIONS TO ASTORIA?????

I was thinking of heading down to Longview crossing into Oregon and putting in at John Day boat ramp to fish for sturgeon. Anyone have an idea what the road conditions would be like. Would below the cowlits be better since a pilot run of smelt have come in? I haven't had much luck around K P lately and thought maybe it would be better to be down from the smelt???
Any insight and ideas would be nice, I'll be leaving Saturday early am.

Default Re: ROAD CONDITIONS TO ASTORIA?????

All I know is that I headed to Astoria today, got half way there and my Doctor, who lives in Portland, said he was unable to make it due to the passes.
So, I turned around and went back, too.

You can check the road reports, by clicking the data page at the top of every ifish page, and click on "Know before you tow."
