Alsea Anybody ??
Started out the day on the Yaquina, lots of fish but no catching to speak of. Headed over to the Alsea and put in at Cozy Cove, ended up getting 3 for 5. A piar of nice chromer hens at 27 lbs each and a chrome buck at 40 lbs, the other two were released, talked with one other boat that had a couple bronzies and the local guides were doing so so. Many dark black or red color fish in the upper river, lots of pressure but not much for luck. Did hear there was a fair bite up river early morning but sounded like lots of darkies. All our fish were caught bobber fishing.

Re: Alsea Anybody ??
Hit the Alsea again today bobber fishing and went home with a 8 fish limit for all four of us today. Fished all day turned a few darkies loose. Anybody interested I may have an open seat or two on Tuesday the 28th. Tides look good and fishing should be good. Reply this thread if interested I will have shrimp ready can loan a rod if nessessary, you will need lunch, liscense and tag, and possibly eggs.

Re: Alsea Anybody ??
Steel Beaver,
I don't bank fish much but I do know there is a popular bank fishing spot at the Fall Creek confluence, many fish near five rivers, and there is a place called the Barclay hole just above tide on a pull off, there is usually lots of cars around the bank spots. Good luck

Chinookie, I was just curious as to what you were using for bait, eggs & shrimp? What kind of cure are you using for your eggs????

Re: Alsea Anybody ??
Diggerdan, We have just been using bobber and eggs with sandshrimp.
Fishin fool, and cutthroat behavior, I will be in touch with you on Monday. Went back over today and put six in the boat for ten hooked. Turned loose four darkies, kept five fairly nice fish and one chromer hen.
