I/m not sure why "we" ever quit using cherry bobbers. Drift fishing or plunking, those caught a LOT of fish. (I lost my last one two years back to a monster chinook below Bonneville.) :depressed:

In the classic "Fishing the Oregon Country," by Francis Ames, published in 1965, he frequently mentioned the Russellure, especially, as I recall, for river cohos. Never seen one before.
