Default NAHALEM REPORT

things were hot, hot, hot on the Nehalem Bar yesterday. Put in just before tide change at state park motored down to the bend in the rocks started fishing just before 8am just about slack tide. ran smack into a freight train stripping about 30yd line before being brought back to the boat. netted 28lb nook. Yes it was going to be a good day. hour later WHAM, the boy gets hit. netted 29lb nook. the day is getting even better. head out side, things finaly comming down. Then the reel starts buzzing like an old alarm clock. netted 6lb. coho. pick up another 6lb. coho and a 20lb. nook.  start back drifting with the tide down the jetty as the tide begins to change. reel goes off again. last fish; needed 5lb coho. FULL BOAT LIMIT. released 2 other nooks and 2 nates.
Things were pretty much like this all day. must have seen 30 fish netted all day long. Will post pics after the kids done showing them off.

Wow! Thanks very much...if I weren't going there in the morning, I'd put that in the paper.

It was crowded, but everyone seemed to be catching fish. Get it while it's hot!

I officially SUCK!!!!
I am sitting in the middle of a hot feeding frenzy in the bar and I can't get so much as a bite. I am about ready to give up, too bad it has turned into an obsession, it would be easier to give up if it was only a hobby.

Any way I am sure that I will be out there again soon blowing another day with wet hooks, drowned bait and no fish.

That's life see you out there.
