Default Fish Flash advice please...

Trying to get this Astoria chinook thing dialed in ....I have seen the Fish Flashes hooked directly to the diver ??? or should I stick them mid-leader ? leader length ?? Will be down there on sat and sunday ...blue North River , blue top ...any other tips ? Thanks much in advance ...

Right to the diver, three foot leader, Big hooks are better (5/0, 6/0).

I hook my flasher directly to the diver. The I use about a 6ft leader. At about midway on the leader I tie in a beaded swivel. I think you get a better roll on your hering/chovie. My nickels worth. Best of luck. I won't have a chance until the 26th to get back down. Save 1 for me :grin:

Mainline-fish flash-5-7' leader. I base the hook size according to my herring size. If your using fresh herring from Tackle Time or Free Willies I would pick a hook in the 2/0 to 5/0 range. Everyone has there own methd so.....

I do what phantom does. If you are fishing 4 poles off your boat try the side rods with fish flash and the back rods with chartruse (sp [img]graemlins/dork.gif[/img] ) diver and plugcut only no flash... oh yea and hold on :grin:
