Default Rouge River Help Needed

I am thinking of taking my sled down to the Rouge this week. I called Jots and they said they had nice rooms and boat moorage.

Would this be a good place to stay?

Myself and the wife are the only ones going so I might have an open seat in the boat if someone has fished there before and is willing to help out with netting, etc.

Any help on where to go would be appreciated.

Thanks

That would be a great place to stay.. not the cheapest in town, but very nice.. and a full service fisher-person friendly resort! Bait, ice, great blades etc.!
The nice thing about Jots is the morage of your boat at their dock..

Enjoy,
the fishing should be very good!

Jots is a great place to stay, and very fisher friendly. We are going over for a week around labor day.
The outdoor store can get you outfitted with gear and bait and is only about a mile or so away. I'm sure there are other places too, just the only one I know.
Plan to start early as the wind can come up by 10 or 11 in the morning. A simplified rule of thumb is fish below the bridge as the tide is coming in and above the bridge as the tide is going out. When in doubt, follow the old rule "when in Rome do as the Romans" ie...keep an eye on all the boats that look like they know what they are doing and mimic it.
