Default Astoria Saturday with Sturgeon Tom (Pic too)

Sturgeon Tom wanted to fish with 5000 of his closest buddies Saturday at the Buoy 10 opener and offered up a couple of open seats. Husker, Pipes and I had a great time fishing with Tom.
It turned out to be a bit rougher than anyone felt like putting up with so we ditched the idea of getting over the bar.

We fished around the bridge and things were pretty slow. Around 12:30 or so, Pipes rod takes a dive. Several minutes later, this nice little Chinook hen comes to the net! It weighed in at 12lbs

Husker and Pipes were a hoot to fish with, we had lots of laughs! Thanks Husker for the great trail mix and Pipes for the great smoked salmon, and Sturgeon Tom for another fun trip.

Thats a great Pic. Looks like you all had a great time fishing. I went upriver to the Fishery to try sturgeon hoping the Bouy 10 opener would keep the crowds downriver. I was right  We ended up with around 50 or so shakers and one fish that went 40...almost but not close enough we had lots of fun though. Around 1:00 the wind calmed down enough to make it very nice glad to see you wearing the nice PFD good luck if you make it out again

what makes this pic so great is that you are wearing the vest.
