Default First Aid Kit

After a cardiac event my doc. put me on an aspirin a day. Every thing was fine until I used a knife to slice the gills of a fall chinook and ended up bleeding my finger also. As you can imagine, it was difficult to stem the flow. I now carry the spray on bandage in my kit. It works great and this was the first time I had used it. The seal does not wash off, and it will keep a cut closed.

I used to use super glue when I commercial fished. It worked well, just had to get the area dry before using it. This sounds better.

It is my understanding that the original research and development that led to super glue was done by the military. They were trying to come up with a quick field suture for wounded soldiers.

My experience is that it works best on gluing skin together. Ever time I seem to use the stuff my fingers end up bonded together.
