Any New Years Fishing Resolutions?
I'm going to fish more!
I'm going to catch a fish on the dreaded pink worm!
I've got three new fishing spots I'm going to try. Two in February, and one in April.
This leads me to the next resolution. I'm going to catch a salmon and/or steelhead in the months of February, April, and August. I've never landed one in those months.
SKP

Re: Any New Years Fishing Resolutions?
Last year's was to fish 200 days. I only made it right around 120 days, which still ain't bad considering its not my profession.
This year, it's quality over quantity. I want to catch a steelhead on the fly (and it might just take me 120 days to do that).
If any of you guys or gals out there can get me hooked up this way, I'll gladly trade fishing trips...

Re: Any New Years Fishing Resolutions?
[Continue my 3 day a week trips to the "Y". Fishing is # 1 in my book but it doesn't do much for exercising the heart. I haven't missed hitting 3 days a week in two & a half months.

Re: Any New Years Fishing Resolutions?
Stew - I will help you with your New Year's resolution - as we talked at Toy night!
As for me - catch my first Springer (this is like a broken record every year).
Average 1 salmon or steelhead landed a month (that be 12 for the year).
Finally, enjoy life, stay healthy, count my blessings, be a great father and husband.

Re: Any New Years Fishing Resolutions?
Happy New Years everybody.
Simple....
First one is....Get over the sulking and the depression of having to sell my driftboat last fall. Took me a year to restore. It was a georgous16ft Wooden modeled after a McKenzie
(closing costs for a Home we built was way the Heck off . And of course I promised all new energy efficient appliances,
26 custom wooden blinds all to my Wife..)
I had to cover my rear. Extra money was to tight. And I just couldn't look my kids in the eye on Christmas morning and say Hey "Santa must of went winter steelhead fishing and forgot to stop at our House.
Got lots of fish and memories with her. My Wife, oldest Son, and a buddy of mine all caught there first keeper Sturgeon. Several of my friends caught there first Salmon in her.
Second... Get over the fact that just because the phones ringing "It doesnt mean possible boat trip plans any more"
Third....Find a log book that I wrote in just about every fishing trip years ago when I was a Bankie. And start hitting the solid ground again.
Fourth....Plan on getting a bigger better boat.
Last....Get over the fact that the fourth one is not going to be a 2004 resolution.
Happy Holidays To All

Re: Any New Years Fishing Resolutions?
Here is my fishing list for 2004 since I am unable to participate in sport fishing for reasons beyond my control.
Since the big fish has been caught, IE. Saddam,
I will have to catch the other flounder......bin-Ladin.
But first I must investigate, what is the exact definition of "sport fishing", and does it have a different meaning dependent upon what one is fishing for?
Anyhow, in no particular order if I was there and able to participate I would want to just FISH!
