The tail end of the salmon run is in the river. There is the odd bright winter chinook. The steelhead run hasn't shown up in great #'s yet, but there are fish around. If you go to the hatchery and fish a bobber an jig below the cork line there may be some chrome in your future. The EFL is also spotty but kicking out fish.

I was below the hatchery the day before Christmas. The water was down, but I saw a few nice steelhead brought to the bank including a 17#'er on a jig.

FYI - We recycled a couple hundred Steelhead today. Lots of fish in the river.

De fish are there, but nothing worth writing home about, catch rates are down. 3/4Was down there today, the water went from 3300cfs to 6000cfs. Had an extra sweat shirt laying on the ground, was fishing and notice that the rock (better bring your own rock if you wanna fish the hatchery hole) I was standing on had become an island. Turned around and my sweat shirt was soaked with water.
3/4
Had to stop and do a little fishin at the hatchery hole and watch the fun over at the North side of the river below the cork line. I caught all that fun with my new digital video camera. We all could watch it if you want ...One bobber into the closed waters, two, no...wait...3 bobbers a floating in side the cork line
Looks like fun. Combat fishing at its best.
