Where will the fish be and when?

Since 1995, two assistants and myself have spent over 12,000 hrs developing a program that will help us figure out how many fish are going to return to, or go by the "Mouth of the Lewis River" at any given time of the year. The success of this project has increased my fishing confidence by many fold.

I was wondering if anyone else out there has been working on a similar project to anticipate the run sizes and timing. I would be very interested in how other people would approached this issue.
