Default Crud...no fishin today

Man... can't believe how much snow we're getting. Woke up at 5:30 to load the Suburban and head out. Well had to go into the house and get the trusty ruler to measure the snow. 8 inches and coming down hard. Well guess it's time to tie-up a bunch of riggins and make slinkes all day(not to mention a hot toddy or two).
Have to say it sure is pretty thought.

It's already melting here in Mac. We only had maybe 2". Looked nice at about 2:30 this morning.

Crude I couldn't even get the tires to spin. :depressed:

No snow for me. :depressed:

Guess I better get out there and you can live vicariously through me.

I'll just have to do that... for you all.

Aww, come on. You can make it. Back in 93 when it snowed a bunch a buddy and I hooked up the driftboat and went to the Nestucca, no problem. Just locked her in 4w and took it easy, never slipped a tire. Just made it a point to go easy, I don't think I ever got over 30mph. Seriously, if you go be very careful. I always worry more about the other guy than I do about my driving.

RichH,

HHHHMMMMMMM, I remember going fishing in 93 with Pete K., when there was a bunch of snowfall in Salem. HHHHHMMMMMMMM. I think I'll call Pete K, he has the day off today.

RichH, I had a violent take down with the pink worm on Saturday on the Clack. I had too much belly in my line with the wind and current  . It popped up before I could reel in the slack. I'll get one yet. Honestly, I wasn't paying too much attention on that cast, I was fishing new water, so I was studying the water, and not studying the bobber.  (That's float for you people up north  )

SKP

Steve,

I have discovered through the years that the number of bites I get while bobber fishing is directly proportional to the number of times I look away from my bobber.

Welcome to my world.

Don't feel bad, we have snow here in thr tri-cities as well. I won't be pulling my boat anywhere either. I guess I will just put on another pot of coffee.

If it makes you feel any better... I had two different fishing trips planned over the long holiday weekend. Ended up getting sick and had to stay home. Respooled a couple reels, and spent the rest of the weekend watching videos and playing board (bored?) games. "Crud" is putting it mildly.

Here at Hanford, they gave us a 2 hour work delay.
So I said to my wife, what do you want to do for 2 hrs? Hmmmmmmmmmm... Well that only took up a minute or two, so we had breakfast at Mickey Dees and headed on out to the Lazy H Ranch on some terrible roads.

Hotter thermostat and hotter plug. I know the problem. We had to drill out the brass plug and adjust the fuel mixture last year to get the motor to purr.

FNF, would yours start at all? Mine won't even fire off, even for a second. It'd be nice if it was just a thermostat and plugs, I could be fishing by Wednesday!

If this motor is brand new, have you seen it running? Can you pull it over? Have you used it?

Ya, it's got about 20 hours on it. Worked great two trips ago, then last trip, we get to the launch and it just woulden't start. I bought it new from NWJ and they are doing the warrenty work. The guy told me if they don't get it done by Wed at noon, I get to wait until next Monday
