Headed over to the coast to day in hopes of fishing in the snow, but all it did was rain.... boy did it rain and hard at times, the water looked great, although, looks like it is going to come up.
I had two very soft takes in two consecutive cast that resulted in lost shrimp, then the next case resulted in this hen caught on drift gear. I lost another one about a half an hour later in the same hole that was a real nice steely too.
First cast lost a real nice fat silvery beast that must have jumped six times an threw the jig. I had four soft shrimp robing take downs and landed one coho jack before ending up with this buck all in about twenty minutes.
I was looking at my effor:
-Four trips to the coast, two full day, two half day.
-Six steely's kept and four released.
-Four coho released (one caught twince though)
Special thanks to Don Greene @ Fishermand shack in Airlee for all his great attitude, fishing tips, and the greatest prices on spinner componets and jigs in Western Oregon!!!!
