Default finally...a steelhead (EFL)

Sorry I have to brag a little..After numerous attempts to land my first winter steelhead this year....it finally happened.

About my 5th cast, drifting a pink corkie and some eggs that I cured earlier this fall....something felt different so, I set the hook, and sure enough...it was this nice little 6lb hen.

What a blast. The rain finally came, and I decided to weenie out and call it a day. Got to break in my new Abu C4 5601 that santa brought me.....i'm a little worried about the thumbar release on it though, I almost freelspooled on this fish....

Good Job MM, It's been better this year than in years past and hopefully you'll hook up quite a few more times. Congrats on the 1st one of the year. SS

Way to go Gordo. I haven't been steelhead fishing yet. Dad has me running the excavator on a side job everyday I get off. I told him to go fly a kite on new years though, cause I'm going sturgeon fishing.

By the way did Jeremy call you and give you the good news?
