Default No fishing until the toaster is fixed!?!

My father in law is a avid salmon & steelhead fisherman. Unfortunately, he said his motor is acting up due to seals failing in the lower unit. Oil milky, etc., so he needs to fix it. I asked him what kind of motor it is... He said it is a West Bend. I thought they old made kitchen appliances, but West Bend evidently used to make outboard motors and water pumps (for use in firefighting, etc).

Anyway, Chrysler bought out West Bend, and the Force (Mercury) bought out Chrysler. He has no idea where to try to get parts for this old beast (9 HP, I think) -- Where do you all suggest he go for parts for the West Bend?

Thanks in advance,
Mack

Which seals? Isn't too difficult to buy gasket material and cut your own with a razor blade. Or any kind of liquid gasket maker, or the old standby - silicone. I can't imagine that the old West Bend outboard is exactly a fine-tuned instrument!! Get the wrenches out and get busy!
