i heard they get a good run of winters in there but have never fished it, does anybody here fish it?????

I'll second that. Not many fish in here. Just a small native run that won't arrive until late January at the earliest. Only a few hatchery strays, but you might be lucky enough to hook one. Guess you never know until you try. Good Luck.
