Default Wilson River late run nooks?

I have heard the stories of late run Chinooks on the Wilson for years now. Has anyone been into any fresh fish lately. Lets target any water below Kansas creek.
Do we have any biters???

Thanks for any info.

There in but Kansas Creek is probably way too high up for anything with quality.

Before they closed it, the Little North Fork of the Wilson (the stream that flows into the Wilson at Mills Bridge) had a great December Chinook run. It took a walk in and down to the river but it was a good fishery. Then some jerks used Dupont Spinners in some of the deep holes. The run went down and they closed it. I believe you can get to fish it after Jan 1, but not sure as I no longer can get down the bank.

But the fish have to come up the main river and usually will be lying below the creek mouth.

Put a hype on the wilson and then sqeek over to the kilchis. When you cruise down that river people will be looking at you and thinking "how they heck did they know."

I think when the tight lip syndrome hits it makes it a wee bit more obvious.

Note - the Little North Fork Wilson is always CLOSED to salmon angling - there is no salmon season on it.
