What is the deepest hole you have found on the columbia, and where? (If it is not a zipplipper)

*back side of Puget Island 120feet. OR. side
*Three tree hole below Cathlamette 120feet. WA. side
*out of deep river at Portegeuse point 120feet. WA. side
Thats some of the deeper holes I know of.

Tounge point 130 to 140 depending on tide.

Here is another vote for Tongue Point. Depending on river flow and tide hieght, it is usually over 140.

164 ft. deep! Northwest of Miller Island, across from the mouth of the Deschutes. I was scanning my map a few years ago, and there it was. I went out one afternoon with my new DF, and sure enough, 164 feet.

Why it doesn't just get filled in with silt is a mystery to me.... Tim :smile:

I have found two holes in the Willamette that are both over 140 feet deep.

165 feet on the back side of tongue point.
