The stuff doesnt work on salmon! It actually puts them off the bite! So i doubt it would work for steelhead. Save your money and buy something that really works, Like Maries Shrimp scent.

My reason for saying Ulrabite puts Salmon off.

In November a friend and I were fishing a smaller stream just after a good rain. The stream was full of salmon. The hole we were fishing was stacked with biting fish. We hooking a lot of fish. I got the idea to try some Ultragaruntiedtostopthebite. I kid you not the bite stopped dead when I applied some to my yarn and made a cast. Niether my friend or I got bit for awhile. The fish were still in the hole thick. We would get line bumps almost every cast but no bites. I clipped off the leader that had the Ultrayournotgonnagetabite soaked yarn on it and tied on a new leader. I then washed my hands and everything else that may have come into contact with the Ultrastinkykillthebite. It took about 10 minutes then we both started getting bit and hooking fish again.

Since I thought it was a fluke I tried the UltrawhyamIkillingthebite again, Same thing. The bite shut down..........

Default Ultrabite and Steelhead, Does It Work?

Anyone use Ultrabite on the winter steelies? I'm too curious how it works or not. I've not heard of good enough results to spend the money yet.

Please give Ultrabite reports.

Thanks,
SKP

I personally can't stand to be in the same boat as some eggs I cured with it. It smells so bad I can't even concentrate. Absolutely rancid stuff. Anyhow, it didn't exactly light up the water with biting fish, so I got rid of most of it after that point. Not sure if the seagull even touched it on the rocks.

I havn't had much luck with ultrabite for salmon or steelhead. Though I have noticed the sturgeon love it.

Stinks to high heaven and haven't noticed any better results. For my money stick with the regular stuff.

This is interesting reading. I'm not ready to sink some cash in this product yet. It's either higly productive and zipper lipped, or it's not worth the claims, I'm not sure yet.
