Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
Man, this would've been perfect a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't find my eggs that I swore I sat down in the garage. I looked for a 1/2 hour and then broke down to asking the dog and when I looked at my black lab he had red lipstick all over his mouth. I was pretty mad at the time, but look back and smile now. If I wasn't so frustrated with him I would've thought to take a picture of it. I later found them in the backyard but were pretty much unusable at that point.

Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
Photo title: Slimerocket Sucking Eggs
A joint entry from eggscars entry from Uglygreen and Fishbait.
Background... It took me about a month to come up with the idea of a for this photo of a live steelhead in the water hooked up on some yummy pink eggs. Once I had the concept figured out and had an idea of the method to get the photo, I had to wait for the right conditions and a willing fish. Several early attempts failed due to water visibility problems, uncooperative fish, and camera problems.
It all finally came togther today with good water, the right light conditions, a cooperative fish, working batteries in the camera, and a little luck to get the shot I wanted. Steve (Fishbait) caught the fish and Brad (Uglygreen) took the picture. Hope you like it! This one is 500 pixels wide per contest rules, but if anyone wants a larger copy for a desktop or whatever just let me know and I'll email one to ya.

Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
As one of the winners of the first EGGS-SCAR awards my vote does go to the joint effort of Uglygreen and Fishbait. The technical difficulty alone is worth some points. Just a great picture with eggs in action! I would like a desktop size pic.

Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
Actually, UG, that is a saleable, most gorgeous pic! You could blow that one up for framed photos and sell them! Or, to a magazine! SHEESH!
OK, I'm lined up. How much? I want to frame one, badly!
Please? WOW!
AMAZING! You've got my vote!

What kind of camera? What megapixel?
I'm very interested!
Please send me a big copy. I'm on dialup, but I'd like to upload it to ifishers for desktops, if you would share.

Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
The two most interesting things to me about that pic is
#1 - Fishbait caught a fish
#2 - The fish is "eyes down" while in the water. I have never looked at a fishes eye while in the water to see if it is looking up or down. It has been covered on ifish several times a live fish is "eyes down" and a dead one is "eyes up" when out of the water posing for a pic.

Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
Hey UG, would you be so kind as to send me the large version of this photo? Very cool.
Makes me want to go out and get a housing and some strobes for my digy came!
My wife already has a Nikonos V, but that's a *real* camera, and well beyond my point-n-click photo mentality!
Excellent photo! Always wanted to do something like that!
Send it to parker@u.washington.edu
Thanks and Congrats!

Re: Ifish Annual Eggscars WINNER ANNOUNCED
Just wanted to thank Jennie for having such a great website and having this contest. I really enjoy both. I would really like to encourage more people to participate next year. Start thinking of ideas now and take a little bit of time to follow thru.
Thanks to Okuma for providing the prize. I had never had an Okuma reel before I won one last year. The AV30 is a great little reel. I used it for steelhead bobber and jig fishing. It probably has caught probably 20 summers and maybe 40 winters and is still going strong. Im pretty hard on tackle and it has taken abuse and held up well. Im looking forward to trying out the new convector baitcaster from this contest. Thanks Okuma.
