Default Need Aluminum Welder

I'm going to add a recessed aluminum fish box to the bow of my Northriver. I've got an estimate from Motion Marine but they want $600-800 and Northriver is working on an estimate but I'd have to send the boat back to Roseburg to have it done which means waiting several months as I can't be without it for awhile. Does anyone know of any other aluminum welders either in Portland or the St. Helens area that I can get a quote from. This seems a little too simple to me to spend more than $600 on, but maybe I'm wrong. Thank you!

Killer---Call Al Anderson in Warren. His # is 397 4316. I had him fix my boat after some idiot ran into it on Frenchmans Bar last fall. He did a great job and was real on his price. His shop is up Church Road.----Tell him Terry gave you the info.

You might try L & J Marine (503.248.0228) on NW 29th Ave in Portland. I have seen some of their work and it looked good.

Thanks, guys. Mr. Anderson lives less than a mile from me which would be very convenient. I'll give him a call and also get a quote from L&J.

Call Tom Sperb at Tom's Outboard, he is a master welder and very reasonable on his prices. Tell him I sent you.

Al Anderson did an excellent job on my boat. He and his son Jeff did some welding on my boat and I am very happy with it.

Killertraylor,

I'd go with Motion Marine, they did a great job on my boat. It can be a get-what-you-pay-for situation.

Tim at Motion will do a good job and get it done on time. That was worth a few bucks to me.

I also would recommend Motion Marine as well, I have seen alot of Mark's work, and I have been impressed! You must think of quality work first, rather then cost, The quote," You get what you pay for".
