Default Hot water box

I think I am going to build a hot water box off the water from my kicker . I am wondering about location, where do you have yours located? What would you change move etc.? How big is the tank? Would you put one in the next boat you get? If anybody has a pic of an aftermarket install that would be cool I know I am going to have to install a thermostat etc I am just wondering about location would you move yours if you could and where to?

There is one for sale on the classifed page. You may get an idea or two from it.

Just weld your kicker bracket so that it is an open-top box. Drill a little hole in it for drainage at the bottom and put a removable plug in the hole. Run a short piece of latex or other tubing from the outlet on the kicker motor to the box.

Voila! Hot tub.

When you are done fishing, pull the plug.

I built one out of heavy aluminum. It doubles as a kicker bracket. Have to admit, it turned out really nice. Now I don't have the boat, I'll sell it to you if you want it real cheap. I have no use for it. John 503-551-3914
