Default Steelhead on the Kalama.........

I was just wondering if anyone has fished this river lately? There has gotta be some winter steel available. Any reports would be appreciated.
thanks, Matt

I haven't fished it but some friends have and they have all been happy with their experience.

I was planning a trip there this weekend, but it seems my wife had other plans Gee, x-mas shopping....Ya, that's much better than standing in the rain all day I'd rather be in the rain all day with no fish than in the flippin' mall or somewhere fighting the trafic and crowds! Oh well, I'm laid off at the time so it will be less crowded on Mon.

I've heard excellent reports about this river. But is it a drift boat of sled river?

Jig fished this morning at Dead Line and hooked one briefly and saw a 7 lb. winter caught. Fish moving through but reluctant. Don't know how they did on the lower river.

WWF, there's no sleds or motorized boats allowed above Madrow Bridge. It's definitely a drift boat river!! Lots of good holes only accessible from a DB.
