Default High noon on the Wilson!!

Wow the Wilson is a cute little river. Today was my first time ever fishing a coastal river. I took some advice form you all here @ Ifish and hit an easy spot. I went to the little fishing area behind the guide shop. I got there at 10:30 and scouted it out and started to fish about 11:00. I saw one fish on the bank when I got there. Fifteen minutes later a guy caught one above me and a guy hooked a nice 15lb or better native steelhead below me. All this action around me!!! I got that feeling you get when everyone is hooking fish and you aren't . Just then I felt a nice tug. Landed my first coastal steelhead . Thanks to all that helped me with my journey to the Wilson. Next time though I am going to bring heavier slinkies. current was faster then I thought.....

Good job Yarndog! The Wilson is a pretty awesome river. I don't think we should tell anyone about it though.

I've never really thought of the Wilson as "cute", but if it produces, I guess you can call it anything you want! Congrats on the steelie!

That part of the river has put out many fish, It's one of my favorite spots to stop at when we head over to the coast.
Good to here you got your feet wet and landed a fish, Congrats.

Yarndog-
Congratulations on the first coastal. May it be one of many. I haven't be able to get over to the Wilson this year, but there is always next week when my back heals up.
