the skunk is off
launched at freds saturday around 6am with my wife and my teenage daughter. got to mine and about 50 other boats secret spot and weighed anchor (apprx 40 lbs). ran wraped kwiks in 19 ft of water. watched two boats below me drop out and play fish and saw one landed on the troll. about 8:30 i started to think i was never going to draw the interest of one of these spring fish and i look down, and honeys rod is going nuts, bouncing up and down and peeling line. my first instinct was to grab it and st the hook, but after all i have learned from the gurus of ifish i let it stay in the holder(it was torture!!!!). i gave it a good ten seconds, until the guy in the boat next to me was looking at me as if i were nuts.i
picked up the rod and handed it off to my wife, pulled in the sea anchors, started the motor, threw off the anchor rope and got the net. now mind you honey is all of 5'2" and mabey a hundred lbs, by the time the fish was to the surface and i was sure it was a smooth back i told her to steer it over to the net, i dont know who was more tired her or the fish. it hit the deck of the boat and i raised a triumphant hand to high five her and she couldnt even raise her arm.
i wanted to get a pic of her holding the fish but she declined so she took one of me and im gonna try to put it on here (my first try). by the way, fish weighed in at 20 lbs.
ok...i need help, how do i post a pic?
