Hummmm. Doesn't look like cascades up north. Must be south. Open hillsides and oak trees.

Look here guys.................If you don't like it or want to pop off with your private property and Cascade???? comments KEEP IT TO YOURSELF PLEASE!!!!!

Really....................Look at the pictures. a 18 year old lady and another lady that shot her first elk.

GET REAL!!!!!!

On top of that they are mature bulls and great cascade elk.

If its so easy go do your homework and find some private land and go get yours.

I've been very blessed with getting to hunt in great areas and been very giving with sharing these areas with MANY hunter and am tired of some of you down playing what some have worked hard to accomplish.

AGAIN IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY POSITIVE FEED BACK TO POST PLEASE TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Some of us were excited to share this on the board.

Mike

Good bulls all around MJ! Congrats to you all!

Seems some people can't simply be happy for others success! I don't get it! For some it is just much easier for them to be negative rather than be positive about someone elses success!

I'm happy for you man and keep the threads of you and yours coming.

I don't understand some of the post either? Then they'll come back and say "WHAT......I was only asking a question"

The fact is anyone could hunt where I do. I live, eat, breath, sleep, outdoor activities with a the gift to talk to people. I am not afraid to ask someone for permission to hunt their property.

Usually Mikyla (my daughter) is very excited for us to put her trophy's on the board here. But her question to me this time is why do some have to say such non important things. We purchased a tag. Went out during a legal season and harvested my biggest bull to date and we get this................THIS IS WHY I'M NIPPING THIS IN THE TAIL!!!!! Come talk to me personally or keep it to yourselves if you have something negative to say.

With that being said........Thanks to all for the positive encouragement. This is for sharing not bragging for us. I don't need anyone to build me up. I hunt because I love to hunt and enjoy the rewards from a successful one.

How dare anyone hunt private land that I am too lazy to seek and get permission myself. Anybody who hunts private land needs to come up here and hunt with me and everybody else on weyerhaeuser land. Once you've done that, then you can go get permission somewhere. Until then, I'll keep it warm for you. Just tell me where it is. And who to talk to. Better yet, could you get permission for me? I don't want to drive or work that hard. I promise I won't shoot anything I can't drive right up to. Thanks.

FYI to all, that was a joke, not even directed at MJ. But directed at whoever complains about private land hunts.
Those are great bulls wherever they were taken legally.

Way to get it done MJ. When I see that your group was able to go 3 for 3 in one day tells me that you sure did your homework and knew exactly where these bulls were and werent found by luck. Way to put in the hard work and congrats again!

Nice work MJ. People are jealous by nature. That is just the way it goes. People would rather complain about the lack of animals where they hunt than get out and search for a place to find more animals. I have always enjoyed your posts and especially the ones where your daughter is successful. My daughter is finally getting to the age where she is considering hunting, and posts like these are perfect for here to see that other girls enjoy hunting too. I already have some property scoped out for her when she is ready! Keep it up and don't let the whiners get you down.

Mike is probably one of the most hard working hunters I know or have had the privilege to hunt with. I have never met anyone who spends as much time in the woods as he.

Some of the comments on here amaze me as well... always. There is a good group of people and then there are others who will tear down your hunt no matter the situation. Its unfortunate but the proof is posted in the success. I could go on and on but Im not going to take away from a great weekend that MJ had with his daughter and friends.

Once again, congrats on a great year, your hard work and dedication as well.

I noticed on this sight that there are a lot of insecure people or people who are just negative and argumentative and have to hate on "private land " people...It's flat out bizzare.

Wow, all I saw mentioned was "Cascades?" I'm not totally sure who exactly is insecure folks. A few facts up front would have made the picture more clear on a nice private lands hunt. Nice bulls.

Outstanding - thanks for posting these up. I always know when I see your signature that I am gonna see something good.

Ignore the naysayers - I think most of us have a pretty good idea how much dedication, effort and work you put into your passion and what it takes to generate the kinds of hunts you consistently put together.

No comment made about private land, nor do I care as I hunt private ground in NE Oregon every year. Not sure why everyone is so defensive here.

Nice Job MJ, love seeing dead bulls.

The direction of this thread is the reason many of us wont post a story on this forum anymore. If it wasnt for new members, this place would dry up I am surprised the ifish police havent shown up and talked about lack of visible tags, not enough hunter orange, or muzzle control and a host of other assumed infractions ......

nice seeing the cascade isnt all big trees and steep like I am use to

Wow. Getting it done again! You guys really have it figured out. Those bulls all appear to have similar antler configurations. Were they taken out of the same group?

Congrats

This may sound a bit strange but I almost feel like I have watched your daughter grow up hunting with all the great photos of animals and hunts you have shared here and on over on BTC over the years

Congrats on some great looking elk and in some pretty country. 3 for 3... Yes I am jealous! I'm heading out next week and honestly I'll be thrilled if our group can go 1 for 4.

Thanks for sharing!
