Not all jigs are created equal. We use the best materials available and all of our jigs are made with palmered schlappen. That is the way we have tied our jigs from day one.

Fished Friday on the Washougal. My partner caught a very chrome 6 pound hatchery hen right out of the shoot on a "brand X" jig. The jig had 2 red beads on the shank of the hook. I'm not a bead on the hook fan, but I thought that I'd try it, so I took my pink and white First Cast Jig off and put on a "Brand X". Fished all day, various techniques, including the jig. Nothing. Zero. Decided to bag the "Brand X" and put the pink and white First Cast jig back on. A few moments later, "where's my bobber??" Fish missed. Then about 30 minutes later, bobber down, fish on, fish flashing and jumping. Landed this one, a beautiful chrome 9 pound hatchery buck. My fish was bigger. My fish fought harder. Has to be the First Cast jig. "Brand X" jigs in the trash.

Thanks Mark!

JN

Jetty Nut--I met a fishing partner of yours on the Washougal last Wednesday. He talked to me for a while about fishing jigs. I can't quite remember his name, maybe Bob. Anyway, tell him thanks again, great guy to talk with.

I have tried several different brands of jigs and like the first cast for their quality. I have found the same quality in Fisher Jigs. Owner hooks and quite a bit less $$. Just my 2 cents.
