The best way to catch fish down there is to have Kodiakfisher in the boat with you

Note to those trying to figure out whether the fishing is good at Cathlamette - no one ever sends a PM to say that it was rainy, cold, and we and everyone else got skunked.

I fished there last year, the 2nd and 3rd weekend of April. The fishing was good then. Especially after I figured out what to do! I followed that "Damn Toby" around. He's in a Duckworth with "Sidewinder Charters" on the back of his cooler. He's a highliner on the lower Columbia, so I always try to do what he does. We pulled herring exclusively on the Oregon side. Any other advice would be appreciated! It's a 650 mile round trip for me, so I'm waiting a week or more until I start the "pilgriamge".
