Default Friday Coastal Chrome report (pic)

I got an email from my buddy Otilith earlier in the week...."I booked Dave Johnson for Friday, interested?" Duh....does Sadam hide in holes like the rat that he is? Heck yes.....and we were all set.

We hit the water at o'dark thirty, floated down a ways and anchored up......waiting for a glimmer of sunlight.

I got lucky first, a chrome bright nook with sea lice, about 20#. A bit later, it was Bills turn. He got to do battle with this beautiful hatchery brat.

Sorry for the pic quality. By the time we took the pic, it was hard to keep the raindrops off the lens.

Dave Johnson is unquestionably as good a guide as you'll find anywhere. What a class act of a person and an incredible wealth of knowledge. I had a great time with him and Bill today. Thanks for a great day guys. We will certainly do it again!

It looks like you finally got a good guide. It sounds like you had fun and even caught a couple fish.

Way to go, boys!

Skrimmy, like you need more 'Nook?

Looks a heck of a lot better than flying back from New Joisey, too.

Looks like DJ earned his keep today, looking at the size of you two gorillas. At least the boat must have been balanced.

His arms must look like Popeye's after that! LOL

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Gorillas? Maybe thats why Dave kept offering us bananas?

It was a great day fishing the Cowlitz with DJ. He works his butt off and is a fun guy to fish with -- and there's always a good chance he will send you home with a slab of fishy goodness.

Thanks for going Skrimster

Hogmassa....oh yeah....squeeled like a pig - that's as close as I come to singing like a canary! I guess nobody believed me though. Didn't see a boat one near "your spot"! Yeah, that one has to be an even bigger secret than that Tualatin! Besides....it was a day to learn secrets, not divulge them! Otilith, to coin a term made famous by Get Bent and ******...."don't make me come over there"!
