Default My Sandy report

Well the river is beautiful. Great flow and color. The only thing missing (for me) is a good amount of fish in the river. I hear that there have been a few taken from Pipeline. A guy I talked to said he caught one last night and it had a tag in it that was from the Hood River system. The river was in such perfect shape I want to fish it tomorrow just because it is so beautiful.

Yarndog - I agree. That is why I fish the Sandy too. Would be nice for the river to throw us a fish or two though.

I was down by Troutdale - fished 3 hours. Can you say East Wind? Felt like winter steelheading today, fur sure!. I tried bobber and jigs and a Little Cleo. Nothing. Saw a couple of others giving it a go - one said he lost one on a spinner. Great to see how clear the river is after the high water. A lot of sand seemed to have moved with this last event.

I hear the river calling too.

Your right the river does look good!

There are definately some anglers fishing around Dodge Park and Pipeline, by the number of rigs in the lots.

Good luck! Give us a good report!!

I know a guy that fishes the Dodge Park area religiously, if he isn't gettin' 'em knowbody is.
He hasn't been getting them and has seen hardly any others getting any. Saw three fish for a dozen anglers Tues. at the Pipeline, all unclipped.

I assume you can blame the broodstock program on the lack of Nov. Dec. fish in the Sandy?
