Default Winter Steelheading off the bank.....

Thinking about heading to the coast this weekend and was wondering about rivers that have decent back access for hooking up with some chrome, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would love to hear the same. Fished the Sandy tonight and there just aren't enough fish yet. I want to hit the coast for my "first" coast river fishing adventure.

I think it will be a sure thing at the hatchery hole on the sandy near the ned of January. I just wish I knew of a hot spot for this weekend. Eagle creek might be worth checking out.

The Wilson has a lot of bank access along the road, including good winter steelhead fishing.

You don't need to try to fish all the Wilson.....
Hit the guide shop (mile post 6) in the early am. Then just about any place you find a pull out in the 5 miles upstream from the guide shop. All very good fishing spots. When you're done, head back into Tillamook and get a ice cream cone from the cheese factory for the trip back home
