Default Nectar

I got some awhile back and I'm not even sure how to best use it. Tomorrow I'm going to drag some herring around a coastal river mouth and I'm going to brine it in some Pro-Cure soon and I'm wondering if adding some nectar to the brine will be a way to use the stuff! Thanks in advance, Dean.

I've had great success using the Nectar to brine sardine wraps. The Fire Brine is more for whole baits, but the Nectar probably wouldn't hurt.

Yes it is Pautzke, the red stuff. thanks for your input I think I will save it and mix it with some eggs. it definitely seems it will mix with eggs well.

Do some with and some without. I definately caught some springers on herring with some pautzke nectar added to the brine.

I use blue all the time in my herring brines. Does have dye but the blue doesn't have much effect on the baits color. Red might leave you with a red bait. Not sure if that's what your trying to acheive, but it's something to think about.

Well, I chose to not use it on the big blues (BiMart was out of greenies) in hindsight maybe should have. For ten or twelve boats there was one fish caught. The crabbing however, was lights out, two limits in four pots. Go get em.
