Re: What leader and dropper lengths 4 multi rods
I am very interested to see what others have to say on this, as I have been doing a little experimenting on my own with it. Normally I am fishing with friends and it is a "put on what amount of lead you want and bounce back as far as you want" kind of deal. I am now considering a new "boat" rule. Rods fished on the inside get less lead and go further back. Rods on the outside get more lead and are closer to the boat. Same dropper. Will it work? I don't know, but it can't be any worse than the mayhem that now goes on.

Re: What leader and dropper lengths 4 multi rods
Mayhem I've seen alot of that out there lately. I always vary the length between the front and back rods some times more than 2ft, But after rods start going off everyone wants the same length and color of K fish.
Lured in I too am interested in what the range of leaders and droppers guys are using.
See you at there....... Yeeha

Re: What leader and dropper lengths 4 multi rods
I like the idea of driving the fish to one side or the other by setting up multiple rods in a diagonal or wedge shape. I prefer to drive them to the inside where they may feel the fight or flight instinct from the combo of shallower water and the lures that have them riled up. I also set out the wall of voodoo (straight across), but sometimes I feel like they can just swim around it.

Re: What leader and dropper lengths 4 multi rods
Voodo always helps.... I would call my lure wall as a U deep in the back shallow outside.
Thanks Pitch P for the reply. I'm surprized that more opinions aren't being made here.
Has there been many threads on leader length and effects??????????

Re: What leader and dropper lengths 4 multi rods
When fishing four guys anchored or back trolling/bouncing , I run the inside/back lines much farther out than the outside/front lines. It reduces tangles and when a fish is hooked it is much much easier to manuver the fish out and away from other lines. If the outside lines are longer fish hooked on the inside often run into the longer outside lines.

Re: What leader and dropper lengths 4 multi rods
I agree Sled dog you have to run the inside rods quite aways back from the outside rods. I do it visually. I guess I'm wondering the differance in depths or the zone the lures are running in compared to each other? In 20ft of water my back lures are basically running the bottom and the others will be around the 15ft or shallower.
What do you guys think?

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">I've tried all sorts of combos - they all seem to get fubared once in a while. When anchored, I don't worry about it, and don't seem to have too much trouble. When trolling, about once a day, I get a full on french braid about once a day, no matter what I seem to do. When you're trolling with rotating gear (fish flashes, etc), it always seems like the rigs are magnetically attracted to each other. Thats why I prefer to fish with no more than three rods. Then I go Deep, shallow, deep.
