Default Nehalem Crab Report 12-18

Well after a few phone calls I had decided that I would give the morning tide a shot at Nehalem today(7:40am) which meant it was going to be and early morning. I was a little nervious when I stopped at the guide shop for and extra shot of coffee because it was pretty windy. I told my buddy I was glad I didnt have to row a drift boat down the river today because its makes for a long day as I am sure many of you know So we were actually on the water at first light which was just a hair after the high tide. We basically crabbed for about two and a half hours after the tide change and were only able to come up with 5 crab. The wind turned out to not even be a problem which was very nice. We were the only ones on the bay today and what a day it was!!!! We may not have packed the cooler with crab but it sure was nice to be able to get out and enjoy a nice mid morning on the bay. Good luck if you head out there this weekend
