I fished from the bank today and managed a few. It was pretty windy from Mills down but from the bend in the river ( MP 6) up it wasn't to bad. The river was in good color but a little higer than i like, tomorrow should be great.

The spinnaker worked great.
Pretty standard east wind, workable, and not too cold....fished in worse.
If your going to anchor bring a good enough one and one for the bow too.

East winds will hit ya' from the guide shop down. If the river is 4.75 to 6.5 and dropping go to Sisky or VZ to launch.
I HATE wind! I prefer to fish a stretch with less fish and have fun than to deal with it and a thousand other boats......

The offshore is blowing pretty good downcanyon, but I going to guess it will subside somewhat by mid-day tomorrow.

My rule of thumb is,if it's blowing in Portland,it's blowin on the Wilson.
