Just look for the other boats out there. And another thing, the fish are up top.

Re: merwin kokes
My brother went fishing Merwin today with Brad Schoenborn and they only had one bite and another boat they talked to had only one bite and they never saw anything caught on any of the other boats. Hopefully the bite picks up before you go this weekend.
You might call:
Fishermens Depot
1511 North Goerig Street, Woodland, WA 98674
(360) 225-9900
Or call Bob's in Longview.

Re: merwin kokes
I'd try to hit the area off the boat ramps at the far end of the lake, there is a camp ground you'll drive past and the ramp is about 1/4 mile from there. I've had luck trolling the usual koke stuff around that area, and they will be up high, only about 5-15 feet under the surface right now.

Re: merwin kokes
I've been wanting to learn that lake myself. Sounds like you got into a few fish. Where were you fishing, and what were you useing?
Thanks for any info.

Re: merwin kokes
I put in at Speelieye(spelling). Go out turn right go around the point start fishing. We were getting ours 40-60 pulls out no weight. Another place is staight out across from the bay. Work in between the two points. Use your electronics to find them. In our case they were to close to the top to mark.

Re: merwin kokes
Thanks, hs. I'm not going to be able to go for awhile yet, but will start in that area, unless the boats tell me I should fish in a different spot, like where they are fishing.
Tight lines, and all that stuff
