Not a red hot day but the water is clear, albeit high, nice fishing though. Saw a chinook, in better than fair shape at the handicap ramp.Steelhead catching seemed to be spotty. Apparrent runs go through and you have chance, they are not holding -yet. They are recycling fish.
I went yesterday. I will post a pic when I get it tonight. I got there about 11 or so. Oh! was it windy. First fish I hooked took me down river and through the woods around a rock. Bye!
The wind was so stron there was spray coming off the rapids and rain. Second one I hooked hooked it's self. I had so much bag in my line I could barely feel the bottom. I started to reel up at the end of my drift and down the river and through the woods I went again. Hanging onto a tree and in the water it came off.
By this time I was getting tired of the wind and rain along with losing tons of gear. By the way I hooked two rigs I lost right through the slinkie. That does not happen in a day that often. I decided to keep up the preasure and see if the wind would stop.
An hour later when it started to get darker out the wind stopped. I got in my groove and fish on. Down I went again. Made it to the hole below and she basicly fizzed out on me and I slid her up on shore.
Nice eggs for later. Snow belly. All the fish I saw were chrome.
