I was going to wait for BOE and/or FNF to answer the question, but since they must be back out there again today, here is the answer.
'Taint no secret, that last shot was taken from the N. Bonneville boat launch area. To get there you head up Hwy 14 past the town of N. Bonneville. When you get to the power lines turn right and follow the signs to the ramp. There is a great deal of bank access in that area, BTW, but it WA waters so you need a WA license if you fish from the shore. Either tag will work from a boat of course.
reeldick and I were out there yesterday too. That must be Buzz Guidewire with FNF and the other angler is Fishing is Life. We were trading phone calls as we fished up and down from the deadline to The Fishery. Like them, we got nothing to the boat.
In fact, we were parked next to Talons when they caught the one and lost the other. (Yes, that was me, talons!) Their two chances and two others were about all we saw for the entire day.
reeldick did have a couple of good taps, but not takes, on a parked quickie. Considering we had seen Talons reel up about a 6 pound ********* a little while before makes me suspect it wasn't a salmon. But that was the extent of our excitement.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda, today but instead played Racquetball, went to brunch and generally domesticated around the homefront.
Redbull, reel, Dick I, why didn't we go?
