Default Broken Drive Gear

The good news: I landed a beautiful 13 or so pound wild buck on the north coast this week.

The bad news: After 4.5 years of excellent service, my Shimano Stradic's drive gear broke while fighting that fish. :depressed: The worm gears look a little worn, but other than that , the guts of the reel look ok. Anyone ever replace a broken gear? Will it likely work as well?

You may have to replace a few other gears as well, but it should be fixable. Ask the guys at Ollie Damon's for an opinion that is actually based on skill, however.
