Default What river to hit...???

I haven't had a chance to put a line in the water since mid November. :depressed: I finally have a chance to get out tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to go get some steelies. I don't need specifics, I was just wondering if there are any rivers that aren't blown out still. I was thinking about the Wilson, but I don't want to drive that far only to find it's blown. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
Julie

The Wilson is dropping nicely and is fishable. You can check the rivel level at the http://www.ifish.net/datasites.html link. You might also consider the North Fork Nehalem which was hot yesterday, probably good today and might still be good tommorrow. Give the hatchery recorded fishing update a call (503)368-5670. I wish I could go fishing tommorrow.

Julie
dont know where your at but you might try the nestucca, it's been hitting for me, if the level is still up, look for "slots" along the edges.
good luck and give us a report.

I'm going to try a few different setups I've been kicking around in my head, just for the heck of it. Thanks for all the info. I'll report back tomorrow eve when I get home.

I think you would do well at the Wilson, water color is good and there are no big rains today or tonight... good luck and let us know how you did.
