Default Lunchtime Steelie on the Cla...ah..ziperlip

Water looked good going over the Carver Bridge this AM. Sure glad I threw some Amerman cured eggs in the cooler cuz i took a long lunch and went down to a quickly accessable spot just a'fore noon . Talked to a guy nearby who said he'd been there about 10 minutes and had just lost one.

After a few snags and reties on my part the guy said he was taking off and I said I don't know why cuz it's just about to get HOT!!! YAAAAH..... FISH ON

After a real gutsy fight a landed a nice 10# Buck  .

I told this same story here about 2 weeks ago but it had an even better ending cuz it was a hen with some nice eggies (that just happened to get cured up to catch the one today!)

Anyway the water level and color on the Clack are most excellent.

Tite lines to all

Good job bob'r down on your fish today.

I lost a nice one today that made it into the net broke off the jig and then flopped right back into the river. I guess you could call that a short line release. It was a chrome hatchery hen about 8 lbs. Darn I needed those eggs

Alligator- That's too bad :depressed: . I had a similar story last Thursday nite at Eagle Creek with an 8# buck. I hate losing those jigs

Fishrite - nice meeting you today . It's always nice to put faces to the names on here. Hope ya finally got that canopy sealed up. Nice looking pup too. I fished for another 1/2 hr and think I had one more headshake but could have been a good feelin' rock . Also went down for about an hour after work with nothin. I'm playing hookey and hitting Eagle Creek tomorrow.

bob'rdown:
Fished this a.m. for just a few minutes in our "secret hole".....see my new post "4 casts for a fish". My brother hooked a fish on his 4th cast w/ my rod. He was only there for a few minutes (no more than 20). I have to go back and have the canopy resealed today.....they couldn't do it yesterday. Hey, it was nice meeting you too. I'm sure we will hook up again soon. Let me know how you do on Eagle Creek today..... Tight lines Terry
