Willamette Falls Fish counts
I have searched the archives and the web. I can't seem to find a fish count that works for WF. I found one that says 2003 chinook count, but when I go to it, it only list the winter steelhead. Does someone have a link to a counter?
Thanks in advance

No springers have gone over yet, but it's a couple of days behind. Here's the link. You might need to scroll down.

Re: Willamette Falls Fish counts
But there are springers there aye Ben? I predict with my great tongue in cheek knowledge that Springer fishing will be very good starting at the end of next week. My gear is ready and the fish should be willing. They just cannot resist my bait wrapped kwikies. Well....at least the fish that feel sorry for me anyways.

Re: Willamette Falls Fish counts
Springers in the Willamette? I dunno who you've been talking to Bernie, but the Willamette doesn't get run of springers. Best sit this year out.
Beside, you should focus on steelhead for now. It's still too cold for good springer fishing. Wait until the water temp gets up to 50, then they'll start pouring over and it'll turn on.
HR - as soon as some springers go over the falls, they'll put them up there. Don't worry.

Re: Willamette Falls Fish counts
They will start a column for Spring Chinook fairly soon. The fact that only winter steelhead are listed means they haven't seen any springers go over yet.

Birdhunter,
Boy are you wrong. Springers do go up the Willamette. But, they don't bite, they are quite dark, and their flesh is snowy white with various body parts falling off. Anyway there are no boat ramps until you get to Eugene and I think you have to pay $25 or so bucks to launch.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">What about the launch 100 yards up from I-5 on the South side (forgot the name) ? I've never used it, but I know it is there - It's not private, is it?
