Default Lavro / Small DB?

I saw an 11' Lavro on Ebay last week. Seemed like an O.K. looking little DB for smaller waters such as on the Wallla Walla river . . . for Dad and a couple of kids.

Any opinions on the Lavro or other small Drift Boat (something that can be handled by a 12 yr old & Dad) ?

Was it 11' from nose to tail, or measured around the gunwales? Drift boats are normally measured around the gunwales. If you measured it from front to back, it is probably a 13-14' DB which would make it o.k. for small rivers. I'd stay out of bigger whitewater with it. Fourteen foot boats can be very nice two adult boats in smaller rivers. If it is truly an 11' foot drift boat, I'd call it a one man boat and keep my kids out of it unless you're in very easy water. Nothing wrong with the Lavro boats I've seen

Uh OH....we are in big trouble now....look at the thread GUS put up Vinny, they ain't as easy to operate as commercial airplanes. Roy's old boat probably would have been a good one for you. If he could see over the bow, you might be able to as well. The old geezer named Giz here might sell you a nice glass boat if ya got DEEP pockets.
